The People Behind the Program
Our founder Matt Montayne boasts playing experience with Texas juggernauts Richland and Midwestern, as well as a stint in the Czech Republic playing professionally before returning home. Montayne followed it up by passing on his knowledge and experience to others, coaching the women’s team at UNT from 2011 to 2019, during which he racked up 10 championship titles, produced 3 All Americans and 3 Hall of Fame players. His players still hold the defensive and goalkeeping records. In addition to incredible players, Montayne’s mentorship has also produced elite coaches who are actively coaching at top level universities across the nation.
